The Ghost of the Mysterious Palace
There is a story of an ancient palace located amidst the Aravalli hills. The name of this palace was “Chandramahal” and it was famous for its unique architecture and amazing art. But over the years, it was also famous for its ghost stories.
This palace was built by King Veerpratap Singh, who was a very brave and valiant king of his time. The architecture of the palace was unique and its beauty was famous all around. But an unfortunate incident cursed this palace.
King Veerpratap Singh’s daughter, Princess Mridula, was famous for her beauty and wisdom. She was very kind and affectionate and was a source of inspiration for her father. But one day, the king of a neighboring kingdom, who was unrighteous and jealous, planned to attack Chandramahal.
It was night time, and there was a festive atmosphere in the palace. King Veerpratap Singh, seeing his daughter’s intelligence and courage, entrusted her with the responsibility of protecting the palace. That very night, the invading king stealthily entered the palace and a fierce battle ensued.
Princess Mridula confronted the sly king with her valour and courage. But unfortunately, a treacherous soldier betrayed Mridula and killed her. After her death, it is said that her spirit never left the palace. Her spirit was felt in every corner of the palace.
As night fell in the palace, King Veer Pratap Singh noticed that his daughter's spirit roamed the corridors of the palace crying. Many servants also reported that they had seen Mridula in the palace. The palace gradually became empty and deserted as people were scared.
Years later, a young archaeologist named Arjun was deeply impressed by the stories of Chandra Mahal. Arjun was very adventurous and curious and he resolved to solve this mystery.
Arjan visited the palace and observed every corner of it closely. He was fascinated by the beauty and dignity of the palace. But as the night fell, he began to hear strange and mysterious voices. Arjan was fearless and began to follow those voices.
In the middle of the night, Arjan saw the spirit of Princess Mridula. The spirit appeared devastated and in pain. Arjan tried to talk to her and assured her fearlessly that he would help her.
Mridula's spirit told Arjan that her soul would rest in peace only when the unrighteous king and his soldiers would realize their deeds. Arjan took this as a lesson and dug through the pages of history.
Arjan did a lot of research and finally one day, he exposed the horrific deeds of the descendants of that unrighteous king. He returned to Chandramahal with evidence and performed a big ritual there, giving peace to Mridula's soul.
After that incident, the horrific stories of Chandramahal ended. People started visiting the palace again and enjoyed its beauty. Arjan's bravery and extraordinary tale made him a legend.
Even today, Chandra Mahal is famous for its mysterious glory and unique architecture, but people never feel the presence of Mridula's spirit anymore.
